Dominican Republic Aceite El Manicero Advertising Guiro?
Here's a rare vintage piece. It appears to be factory made using pieces of a peanut oil can. It has some discoloration but not too much paint loss. It's about 18 in Long. Please see my photos for details.
Metal guiros are popular for merengue music from the islands. The Dominican Republic being a hotspot for this style. This is why I'm 90% sure it's a musical instrument.
